After a decade as a cardiac specialist nurse in the NHS, Laura decided to follow her passion for horticulture. She enrolled on a course with the Royal Horticultural Society and went on to study at The English Gardening School before pursuing a career in garden design. Today, she takes great joy from developing spaces that reconnect people with the natural world. Central to her business are education, consultancy and design.

"I not only love Schöffel Country as a timeless country clothing brand but also for its technical performance, which in my industry is critical. I not only want my clothing to look great; I need it to keep up with my versatile days. My days vary from consulting with clients to getting my hands in the soil and planting out designs. "

I am incredibly proud of everything I have created over the past few years, taking a leap of faith into horticulture. Being a one-man band – well, two if you include my furry companion Luna – things can get pretty busy, but I would not have it any other way. To think I now run my own business and spend every day outdoors surrounded by nature – I am truly blessed. It is an honour to share my knowledge and journey with other gardeners and those wishing to career change later in life.
