It's that time of year when the garden begins to quietly reward your attention. 
  
Not a full overhaul, nor a weekend lost to heavy digging — just small, satisfying moments. A handful of stems gathered for the kitchen table, a gentle tidy of the borders, perhaps a little time spent tending to the veg patch as things begin to grow. 
  
And, as ever, the weather likes to keep things interesting. A cool start to the morning, a hint of warmth by afternoon. The sort of days that call for easy layers and dependable outerwear.
