A household name in rugby, Mike played at the very highest level of the sport for 17 years, representing England 75 times and winning the 2003 Rugby World Cup. Now with a number of business ventures, including the well-known podcast 'The Good, The Bad, & The Rugby', much of his focus is on charitable work as well as family life. At Schöffel Country we're delighted to work with Mike – a long-time Schöffel wearer with a love of the outdoors – to help us tell our brand story.

“I have always really liked Schöffel kit for its quality and making things that are perfect for the countryside and country life. I need clothes that work whatever I am doing and whatever the weather, and Schöffel delivers every time.”
Mike made his England rugby debut in 2000, while he was still playing as a centre for Bath. Moving to rival premiership team Gloucester in 2001 – where he would go on to play for 13 years – Mike continued to pick up international caps and was part of the World Cup-winning England squad in 2003.
Awarded an MBE for sporting achievement a few years later, Mike retired from professional rugby in 2014 and has since taken up presenter roles and punditry positions on his own podcast and mainstream television. He has worked closely with numerous charities and projects, including The Matt Hampson Foundation, Cure Parkinson's, and Rugby For Heroes, to name a few.
