A Journey Of Rugged Beauty - New Spring & Summer Season
14th February 2020 by Schöffel Country
Schöffel have got all bases covered this season, from smart casual clothing to highly technical weatherproof solutions to keep you comfortable in the great outdoors.
Schöffel epitomises the countryside, no matter the conditions. The new season harnesses the power of natural fibres, from linen shirts to the finest merino wool knitwear styles. To test the versatility of the new range, Schöffel travelled to Ardnamurchan Peninsula on the West Coast of Scotland. Wild and remote, this countryside inspires the senses with breathtaking vistas and magnificent wildlife. Here, Schöffel Country is in its element. This is the fabric of our countryside. Schöffel’s technical excellence combined with natural fibres makes the Spring Summer season adaptable and ultimately, the embodiment of comfort.

Timeless legwear for any occasion
For the first time, Schöffel have designed a range of denim jeans. There are two in the women’s collection including the straight-fit Heather Jean and a stylish ¾ length Emma Jean. In the men’s collection, there is the James Jean. The women’s jeans are manufactured with a four-way stretch and shaped through the hip and thigh out of 79% cotton, 18.5% polyester and 2.5% Spandex. This is the perfect combination for shapely jeans to give a complimentary and comfortable fit. The Spandex allows for some stretch, but the polyester retains the shape of the jeans.
The men’s James Jean is slightly different with a two-way stretch from 80% cotton, 18% polyester and 2% Spandex. This means the jeans only stretch in one direction, keeping the straight leg shape so that they look smart with each wear without losing structure.

Schöffel’s shirts have become a wardrobe staple. This season, the women’s collection explores more beautiful hand-painted designs including the ever-popular Fig Pheasant. For a casual look for walks on the beach, the Salcombe Shirt with the crisp white collar has two new colours; Cornflower Blue and Dark Olive. There is also a totally new design, the Sunningdale Shirt, in a Blue Barley Print which is a slightly more relaxed style for those warm days when you require something loose fitting that is still stylish.
Men’s shirts see the introduction of the St Ives Polo Shirt (available soon) featuring Schöffel’s recognisable Ptarmigan logo. In three summery shades – Marine, Cornflower and Pale Pink – the St Ives polo shirt is a summer must-have. In the tailored fit style, previously known as contemporary fit. Schöffel have created a Soft Oxford Shirt in four classic colour schemes; Pale Pink, Pale Blue, Pale Blue Gingham and Pale Pink Gingham, perfect for days out during the warmer season.

Beat the heat with stylish, sustainable linen
Schöffel’s exquisite collection of linen continues to be a Spring/Summer staple. Linen is a high-quality textile made from the fibre of sustainably-sourced flax plants. Despite being complex to manufacture, it is one of the oldest materials in existence. Linen is highly absorbent which means it can wick away moisture from your skin. The molecular structure of linen, especially 100% linen woven in the Schöffel style, means it can absorb up to 1/5 of its weight before feeling damp or wet. It is simply the most exquisite material you could choose during those warmer days and for summer holidays abroad.
