National Ladies Shooting Day
29th May 2020 by Schöffel Country
This year would have been the National Ladies Shooting day's 6th year, with events taking place all over the country. The day is, in part, about introducing newcomers to shooting, and thousands of women have gone on to get seriously involved in the sport after attending these events. However, it isn’t just for newcomers – it’s a chance for those who have been shooting for years to spend time with like-minded people who are passionate about country sports. So, whether you are new to the sport, or are an experienced shot, 6th June is a day to celebrate, albeit virtually, and we’ve picked a few pieces from our ladies’ collection to do just that!
A vest for all seasons
Schöffel’s All Seasons Shooting Vest is cut to give a flattering silhouette, whilst being extremely practical. Big pockets mean you can fit plenty of cartridges in, and the strap at the back means you tighten or loosen the waist. As any shooter knows, a bit of extra padding to the shoulder is very welcome, and the Alcantara shoulder pads on this vest do just the job. Best of all, the vest can be worn over a shirt in summer or under a jacket in colder weather.
Currently this vest has 20% off in our mid season sale.
A wardrobe essential
Ideal for a spot of layering, the Lyndon Gilet in Fig is made from Schöffel’s famously comfortable fleece. Soft to the touch, it’s the ideal gilet to have with you if the weather turns but you still need room in the arms. The Alcantara suede trim around the collar gives it a luxurious and smart look. Our iconic Gilets come in enough colours to have a different one for every day of the week!

Inspired by the countryside
A perfect choice for country enthusiasts, the Norfolk Shirt features a hand drawn Pheasant design. A timeless shirt cut from crisp cotton with added stretch to ensure ease of movement and ultimate comfort for every activity. This style is full of character and will ensure you stand out at the ground.
Capping it all
Part of every clay shooter’s uniform is a cap, to keep the sun and hair out of your eyes. The great thing about the Cowes Cap is that it is 100% cotton, so is breathable, making it a great option for warm days, but also that it fits properly thanks to the adjustable brass buckle at the rear. There’s subtle Schöffel embroidery on the front and back, and the smart blue combined with the Alcantara peak and detailing mean it can be worn away from the shooting ground, too.
